The P21 series is a compact tool setter with an overall length of 45 mm and a height of 41 mm. It comes with an overtravel (OT) function for collision prevention.
This tool setter contributes to maintaining the machining precision constant by presetting tools and nozzles, and by performing wear, chipping, and thermal mutation compensation in machining centers with limited space, small milling machines such as dental, and dispensing machines.

Features

P21 series is a two-signal model with overtravel (OT) signal

With an overtravel (OT) signal, accidents involving damage to equipment or sensors can be prevented.
*Overtravel (OT) signal: A signal, independent from the operation signal, that is output before exceeding the operation limit range of the sensor and is designed to avoid collisions, etc.

Repeatability of 0.5μm and coolant-resistant IP67 protection rating spec.

It performs speedy and automatic tool measurement before starting machining and in-machine tool compensation during the machining cycle.
The IP67 rating ensures high-precision detection even in adverse environments where coolant is applied, contributing to time savings in tool setting.

High reliability + Low cost: Fewer false detection achieved by touch sensor method

Since the detection is made by direct contact with the tool’s leading edge, coolant splatter or mist is less likely to interfere when comparing with expensive non-contact sensors (e.g., laser sensors), thus ensuring high reliability.
