Notice of Specification Change for Protect Tubes

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you very much for your continued support and patronage.

We are pleased to inform you that many of our customers have adopted our precision positioning sensors for machine tools with a protective tube specification to help protect the sensor cable.

In order to improve tube twisting during wiring, enhance ease of handling, and reduce the risk of cable breakage, we have reviewed the structure of the protective tube and will be changing its specification.

Details of the Specification Change

To suppress the occurrence of twisting in the protect tube, a slip-ring structure will be newly adopted for the following sections:

  • Case connection section
  • Relay connector connection section
  • Intermediate section in long products

Structure After the Change

Depending on product specifications and length, the protect tube after the specification change will feature one of the following structures:

  • Type with slip-ring-equipped end fittings on both sides
  • Type with a slip-ring-equipped end fitting on one side only

Photo showing the appearance of the current protect tube and the protect tube with a slip-ring structure is attached below. There is no difference in the overall appearance of the protect tube before and after the change. The only difference is that a snap ring is attached to the end fitting.
